Happy March, everyone!!
Here's another 'WORDS OF THE DAY'!!! It's been a while! 😜
Let's get started...
Our words for today are:
oscillate
ostensible
ostler
Hard ones, eh?
Let's see what they mean!!
oscillate (v) = to cause something to move repeatedly and regularly from one position to another and back again.
e.g. A pendulum oscillates.
ostensible (adj) = apparent; a stated reason which may not be true.
e.g. The ostensible reason for his illness was being in the cold without a jacket, but everyone knew that it was because he went swimming in the freezing lake.
ostler (n) = stableman; person looking after horses at an inn.
Have a wonderful day and a great month!
Happy March!
